Synchronous transport infrastructure system' Nghe An

Nghe An has a synchronous transport infrastructure system including international airport, deep-water seaport, North-South railway, road and waterway network, easy to connect domestically and internationally, creating favorable conditions for transporting goods and passengers, serving economic, investment and tourism activities at national and regional scales. Specifically:
1.     Traffic infrastructure system

Nghe An has a synchronous transport infrastructure system including international airport, deep-water seaport, North-South railway, road and waterway network, easy to connect domestically and internationally, creating favorable conditions for transporting goods and passengers, serving economic, investment and tourism activities at national and regional scales. Specifically:

1.1.          Road: There are 8 national highways running through the province. In it, there are 3 lines along the North-South direction, 5 horizontal routes East-West connecting with Laos; there is a trans-Asia route from Laos through Thanh Thuy border to Cua Lo and Dong Hoi ports.

Urban and suburban road networks are being expanded new construction or upgraded, connecting the city center with neighboring suburbs and surrounding areas.

The North-South highway passing through Nghe An province is 134 km long, 6 lanes, expected to be completed and put into use in 2021, creating a breakthrough in road structure, connecting Nghe An - Center of the North Central economic region with the whole country.

1.2. Sea-way:

- Cua Lo Port is a trading gateway and an important transport hub, belonging to the East-West Economic Corridor linking Laos, Thailand and Myanmar to the East Sea according to Highway 7, a potential seaport of the province and North Central region. In the last 5 years, the average growth rate of customs clearance goods is 6% /year. The port has 06 main berths, 3 cargo yards of 9ha, loading capacity of over 10 million tons /year, receiving ships of 30,000 DWT.

- Vissai international port phase 1, 2000m long, serving 70,000 DWT ships, is a specialized port for cement and clinker transport. Phase 2 will build an additional port, becoming a diversified international port, capable of accommodating ships of 100,000 DWT.

- DKC Petro depot and petroleum port serves 49,000DWT large vessels on petrol and oil import and export, contributing to socio-economic development for the province. In addition, the province is preparing procedures for investment in some ports such as IDC dry port, Dong Hoi port, Cua Lo deep water port.

- Dong Hoi Port has planned to attract construction investment to directly serve Dong Hoi Industrial Park and neighboring industrial parks, meeting the demand of transporting goods to the North Nghe An area.

1.3. Airway: Vinh International Airport has the largest passenger growth rate in the country with over 56%, passenger terminal with scale from 2.5 to 3 million passengers /year. There are international flights to Vientiane (Laos), Bangkok (Thailand) and 5 domestic routes to major cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, Can Tho and are studying to open some domestic and international routes in the coming time (Korea, Japan, Taiwan).

The airport is less than 15 minutes drive from the city center. The airport has the fastest growth rate in the country and is the main airport of the North Central region.

Passenger terminal is designed according to the model of 02 separate levels to and from, 3 million passengers per year.

1.4. Railway: With 94 km of North-South railway. In it, Vinh Station is a Grade I station, the third largest passenger and freight station of the country.

1.5. Borders: With 419 km of land border with Lao People's Democratic Republic (the longest in the country), Nghe An has 5 borders to Laos. In which, one Nam Can international border (Ky Son) and one Thanh Thuy National border (Thanh Chuong) are currently planned as international border and 3 secondary borders: Thong Thu (Que Phong), Tam Hop (Tuong Duong) and Cao Veu (Anh Son).

2. Technical infrastructure and other investment support services

2.1. Power supply system: The National Grid has covered all 21 districts, cities and towns in the province. Many hydropower projects have been and will be completed and put into operation such as Ban Ve, Khe Bo, Hua Na, Ban Coc, Nhan Hac Hydropower and dozens of other small and medium hydropower plants to ensure stable power supply for production and living. Dong Hoi thermal power plant cluster with a capacity of 2,400MW has been approved by the Government.

2.2. Water supply system: Water supply can meet the production, service and living activities of Nghe An province. Particularly, Vinh City and the surrounding area are capable of supplying water of 90,000 m3/day and the future is expected to be 100,000m3 /day.

2.3. Post and Telecommunications: Modern facilities and networks of post and telecommunications, with all types of services, can quickly respond to domestic and international information and communication needs. There are almost all fixed and mobile telephone networks in the province, covering all districts, towns and cities in the province. Mobile phones thrive with 3,670 BTS stations, a rate of 135 subscribers per 100 people. MAN-E broadband core network, 10,000 km of fiber optic cable, 80% of the provincial area covered 4G. In 2018, Nghe An is ranked 16th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country in terms of indicators of readiness to apply information technology.

2.4. Finance - Bank - Insurance: Nghe An has a banking system from province to districts, cities and towns. Currently, the province is full of banks and branches of domestic commercial banks (currently there are 54 banks and bank branches). Along with financial and insurance  services are increasingly perfect and meet the needs of investors and businesses in the area.

2.5. Health facilities: Nghe An has a synchronous hospital network with modern equipment from provincial and district levels. General clinics of region and health networks of commune and ward are relatively good. Among them, 12 provincial hospitals fully meet the needs of medical examination and treatment for people and investors such as Nghe An General Hospital of 1000 beds. High-tech hospitals serve as satellites for the North Central Region such as Oncology, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Eyes and Vinh International, etc.

2.6. Supermarkets - Hotels - Restaurants: There are big supermarkets in Vinh City such as Mega Market, BigC, Metro, Intimex, Nguyen Kim, HC, etc. and many other trade and shopping centers in the province; System of hotel and resort facilities with full services and amenities. In which, there are three hotels with 5-star standard, six 4-star hotels, and many 3-star and 2-star hotels. Every year attracts more than 6 million tourists, including more than 300,000 international tourists.
